Privacy at FoxTiming

Timers on your device

Timer, stopwatch, focus-session, language, sound, and theme settings are processed in your browser. Language, sound, and theme preferences may be stored in local storage so they remain available on your next visit.

Shared countdowns

When you request a short sharing link, FoxTiming stores the event title, target and optional end times, destination URL, button label, random sharing code, creation time, and expiry time. Anyone with the link can view those event details, so do not include private or sensitive information. Shared countdowns may remain stored until one year after their target date.

Security verification

FoxTiming may use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse. Verification data is processed by Cloudflare according to its own privacy terms. FoxTiming does not store the visitor IP address in its countdown database.

Analytics

FoxTiming uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9Q3X7T173R) to understand page traffic. Before sending a page view, FoxTiming removes query strings and fragments. Shared countdown paths and page titles are replaced with generic values, so Google Analytics does not receive a sharing code, event title, or destination URL from FoxTiming's page-view configuration. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in the tag configuration.

FoxTiming also records anonymous product events in its Cloudflare D1 database: a fixed event name, a fixed page or tool category, and the server time. These events cover page visits, tool switches, clock starts, countdown and short-link creation, sharing, calendar downloads, shared-countdown visits, and destination-button clicks. The endpoint accepts no free-text properties and does not store IP addresses, event titles, destination URLs, email addresses, account data, cookies, or persistent visitor identifiers.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Google's advertising cookies may be based on visits to this and other websites. Visitors can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. Additional vendors will be listed here before they are enabled.
